AdSense Earnings from a Site that does not have AdSense code anymore?
How could that be possible?

I had pulled out AdSense code from one of my sites, that was not performing well, about ten days ago.

Today, i was a very minor earning from that site ( as per channel data information ). It had two page impressions and 4 clicks with a few cents.

I see two possibilities here.

1) The site could have been in cache of some users computer or proxy isp, alongwith adsense code.

2) It could have been a click dump from the past.

What do you all think this could be? Has anyone experienced this before?

I'm experiencing it right now.

I had to put a website out of its misery four days ago and was shocked to see my impressions shot up only a few hours later; I'm guessing it is from the few visitors going to the cache pages.

I'm still getting impressions from the ad units. Maybe there was demand for my content after all...

Third possibility is the occasional user going to the Google cache, Yahoo cache or the Web Archive cache. There are a couple of others but those are the main ones.
