Stats seem to update at different rates. On some days it may take a few hours for them to update.

it's been about 1hr on the dot for me lately.. but by alternating between IE and FF i can get updates every 20-30 minutes - it seems like they get on different 'tracks' or something..

I've noticed a mid-day lull, 11 am to 3 pm PDT seems to be slow updating.

Stats change every hour, on the hour 90% of the time.
Occassionally the system seems to lag a bit and skips a beat.
I have MRTG plotting nice graphs - you can easilly identify update intervals from the staircase pattern, any points where the stats get stuck, yearly trends, etc. Shame I can't post an example due to the no links policy.

I've noticed that Overview and Advanced Reports seem to update at different times. For example, when I notice that my Overview stats haven't changed I can often go into the Advanced Reports tab and select a Date Range going back to the first of the current month and the stats for today will be more current than in the Overview report.

Everytime the stats update, my earnings decreases...

Google use a client sideded cache which tells the browser when the url at the top expires.. to see your earnings at different times simply change your query, for example 1st May to 3rd May and 5 minutes later try 2nd May to 3rd May ... then you get around google's client sideded cache and view your most up to date earnings...
However there is also a problem with the above method, sometimes the stats dont change for hours, thats a serverside issue on google's behalf.
