We'll be performing AdSense maintenance on Saturday, April 22nd at 10:00 a.m. PST. During this time, you may not have access to your account. However, your Google ads will continue to display on your site and stats and earnings will be recorded as usual.

Thanks for your patience... and try to enjoy the weekend anyway! ;)

Re the questions on "legal time", I don't know about the UK, but Germany certainly has such a thing:

I do not like Google Maintenance Times
I do not like them
Webmaster, I am

I do not like them here or there
I do not like them anywhere
I do not like them in a boat
I would not, could not, with a goat

I will not like them in the rain
I do not like them on a train
I do not like them in a box
I will not like them with a fox

I do not like them in a house
I would not, could not, with a mouse
I do not like Google Maintenance Times
I do not like them
Webmaster, I am

Google Maintenance Times

Don't like Google Maintenance Times

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the access of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report.

If your cursor finds a menu item followed by a dash,
and the double-clicking icon puts your window in the trash,
and your data is corrupted cause the index doesn't hash,
then your situation's hopeless and your system's gonna crash!

If the label on the cable on the table at your house says the network is connected to the button on your mouse,
but your packets want to tunnel to another protocol, that's repeatedly rejected by the printer down the hall,
and your screen is all distorted by the side effects of gauss, so your icons in the window are as wavy as a souse;
then you may as well reboot and go out with a bang, 'cuz sure as I'm a poet, the sucker's gonna hang!

When the copy of your floppy's getting sloppy in the disk,
and the macro code instructions cause unnecessary risk,
then you'll have to flash the memory and you'll want to RAM your ROM.
Quickly turn off the computer and be sure to tell your Mom!

Keep in mind that was orinally penned in 1994 and can be found on over 100,000 pages today. Still funny though.

Adsense is down, and it's only 9:15 PST. It seems like I wasn't the only one to get my PSTs and PDTs confused.

I just tried repeatedly to access my Adsense account. When I couldn't, I came here to WebmasterWorld to find out why. Per usual the answer was provided.

Did anyone catch a mention of how long this maintenance will last?

Maybe while I wait I'll just go into the north end of town and try to catch a view of the sheep they've planted on the western hills. Supposedly to eat weeds and cheat grass according to the local news. At least it will occupy some of my time. I'm easily amused...

ehm, didnt meant to interrupt but..
Have Google bought WebmasterWorld recently?

All Google adsense official statements go to WebmasterWorld first? Oh, what are our email address doing on file then? Just to get the "you are banned" letter?

If you have signed up for "Inside Asense" newsletter you would have recieved an email about this before it was posted on WW - I did.

Now on to some good old speculation as to why they are offline for "maintainance"......

Probably so they can have a good laugh at all the "AdSense is down" threads at WW and similar.

Not back yet for me. I can log in but only get the front page. Going anywhere else shoots me to the log in page.

Actually it's not so easy being in Arizona. First of all the TV is all messed up, everything but the major networks is now 1 hour early. And we have to recalculate every time we call someone long distance as the rest of the country has changed times.

BTW, Arizona wasn't always on standard time. They went on war time during WW2 so I was born on the equivalent of daylight savings time. Apparently it messed up my whole horoscope. Who knows, my life could have been totally different. ;)

What to do if WW is down?

Now that was truly traumatic! I started searching thru blogs to find out what had happened and finally found Brett had started a temporary forum on the old domain.
