I think most of you received a pack like this [photos-of-the-year.com] and tools inside [photos-of-the-year.com].

Thank you Google. I had my doubts that we would get anything, but sure enough, we did. It caught up with us today.
Of all your publishers, we could use this more than any, being on the road full time with our laptops, these tiny tools are very handy. We have limited space in the SUV, and had to dump off most of our tech goodies at storage as we ran out of room a month ago.We adore the tool kit. It is perfect for us.

[Why weird? It is just the effect of "smart gifting" ... ]
There are at least two different kit packs. One with 128m flash stick and wireless mouse, another pack with 64m flash stick and wired mouse.
Yes, must be the SmartGifting ....lol.

Got one here last week in Istanbul. Maybe they're sending these to a specific number of "top publishers" from each country, don't know.
The 64-128 Mb of the USB stick or the cord of the mouse is not important. You don't tell people that you would like the red one of a suit instead of green when someone gives you a present. To be remembered is what is important here, and it was nice. It would be nice even if it was only the memory stick.

Well I've just arrived back from Christmas to 2 presents from Google and Overture. Got the usual bag of goodies from Google, but it was upstaged by overture's offering:
- bottle of moet
- leatherman tool
- scarf from aquascutum
- various other little bits and bobs in a big red christmas stocking
- handwritten card
Both companies presents were very welcomed.

Has anyone else had problems getting the wireless mouse to work? I've tried everything I can think of. Changed USB ports, batteries, used the USB cable, etc. Usually these things are that hard to use, maybe mine is just defective....

[....must be a bug in the smart-gifting algo ... ]
The SmartGifting would have some other interesting factors (not direct relevent to the Adwords spendings and Adsense earnings) got significant weight.

Anyone have an address where I can send Google a little holiday present?
It just dawned on me that I may not have fulfilled MY social duties. Here I am, expecting a major corporation to send me a gift, not knowing, I suppose, whether or not my company is a major company... so why shouldn't *I* send them some promotional stuff I've got lying around?
In fact, I have a REALLY nice calendar I can send them -- and it cost me probably more per than the travel kit cost them per.
So, where do I send it? Who will get to hang it on their office wall?

When I told our friends and relatives that Google sent me a gift. Most of them calculated the worth of these gifts; and when they knew that I have also paid duty to receive it then they told what the benefit of this gift is.
But for me my wife and my children it is a gift from Google to whom we love and very grateful for this gift. Though I have paid only about $10 to receive it. But in next year if the gift worth will be only $5 and govt duty tax is $1000 then I still received that gift............ because it is a gift from Google .............that changes our life...as well as our Social status.
