I'm sure I saw an eg. of AdSense in use somewhere that had a display different to the Google default (greyish blue) but I can't seem to locate it... can anyone confirm whether you can customise Adsense with your own colours or not?

Thanks

Paul

Unless they changed something (was looking over their FAQ last night) they still serve the ads in the same format.

However, it could have been another site you were looking at - or another advertising program ;) Google is hardly the only company distributing text ads on sites, or selling text links, or offering webmasters the ability to show CPC ads on their site.

I know fastclick had a different color on its skyscrappers for adwords. You may have seen adwords displayed through another ad agency than adsense. AFIAK and have seen they only have the default color.

Heres a thread [webmasterworld.com...]

Yep, from what I can tell, you're right. Do you think they'll change this at a later date?

The ads just look a little ugly on our site (see profile, go to directory and Africa -> Algeria -> Other Localities for initial test). I would much prefer it if I could add some degree of customisation.

i think if you get over 20,000,000 a month, you can chatty-chatty with google and they become amenable to color and format changes amongst other things!

altyfc: I think the ads look ok on your site :) Maybe align centre on the current TD though (if that is a TD that is?). One thing you have to remember is ugly means it doesn't fit in, it doesn't look right, it sticks out... wait a minute... It sticks out! Catches your eye... click... click... click...
