would it be the php version? the new server is running php 4.4.1?

i also read on the net that sometimes servers are setup to return empty $PATH_INFO for security reasons, so is it setup on the server?

Its definitely not the code cause the url is like ...index.php/widget-details-1234.html and $PATH_INFO should return /widget-details-1234.html, however it is empty.

any help to debug this will be appreciated
