Hello,

I have just purchased "Apache, MYSQL and PHP the weekend crash course" and Im working my way through. First of all it asks you to install these 3 programs....

So far I have installed apache, fine.

Next, I install php and follow the install procedures to the letter.

No matter what I do, apache wont run after I have installed php.

Getting very frustrated.... is there an easy way to install the latest php apache and mysql?

Please help

evo81,

Another solution is to run an installer, which sets everything up for you at the click of a button.

Try Wamp:

Have you looked at your apache error log? If it fails to start late enough in the process, it will often record a "Failed to load module X" error or something like that.

I'm guessing you're doing this on Windows, in which case the error.log file in a default install is in
C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\logs
