Question on folder user and group settings with Apache PHP script won't work djriches msg:1249979 2:49 pm on Nov 30, 2002 (gmt 0) I'm running a PHP image library script that generates folders (for image categories) on the server with a user and group of 'apache' instead of my username for both as with the other folders.
I can't FTP to this folder and the script won't scan folders I upload i.e. it only wants to work with its script generated files. It's not a problem with the permissions as they are both set to 755.
I'm not a PHP or mySQL guru so any suggestions with the above would be appreciated. Any pointers to good commercial PHP image scripts appreciated too!

Have you tried setting it to 777? djriches msg:1249981 2:33 am on Dec 3, 2002 (gmt 0)
thanks sun818 for the tip, didn't end up trying that as I deleted the script and went with another ;). It works like a charm!
Folders for image thumbnail writing etc. are still set to 755 and all work ok, user and group set to apache by the script I think. I definitely need a crash course in server permissions etc., especially how not to leave my server open to attack.
