Talks about the "recent controversy over the auto link feature, if the end user likes it, we'll make it better, and if they hate it, then we just won't do it."

Mentions that there is, "end user seasonality during the summer months", but "there is still strong demand for all keywords".

thanks alvin123,

for the autolink snippet: scroll to 18.25 minutes

Schmidt does not address the controversy. Given Google's potential toolbar market power, the controversy is about if it is decent to offer options to alter and lead away from publishers content, without the publishers consent. Enduser satisfaction is something else.

Webmasters who don't like the feature should just block it out...
