Only a couple of entries so far in the Google Blog [google.com], including one introductory post and another talking about Google's opening of overseas offices. My thoughts?
1) It's about time.
2) Then again, I must admit that I'm a bit surprised that this is happening during what I thought was the "Quiet Period" (relating to the impending Google IPO). But maybe that's only applicable when they actually GO public (and not just file)?
3) Though I don't know Evan personally, I've enjoyed reading his personal blog [evhead.com].
In the meantime, I'm not going to even try to speculate how this'll all work out. Will it be updated regularly? Will it contain more 'corporate' info (like announcements of new office openings) or more personal info (e.g., biographies) or techie (how many queries are processed per second) or a combination of all of this? Who knows!
I've definitely added the feed to my news aggregator, and look forward to seeing how things go :)
