From the S-1 SEC filing [sec.gov].

Proposed Maximum Aggregate Offering $2,718,281,828

Mathematicians will recognize this as Euler's number e = 2.718281828...

Nice touch Larry & Sergey :)

yeah..

The quirky nature of Google's founders is even reflected in a touch of geek humour.

The exact value of the planned share offering is US$2,718,281,828, which coincidentally also corresponds to the mathematical constant e.

Got to like a company that does something like that and adding the "Don't be Evil" mantra to the filing.

I hope that Google does not change, and that the company ultimately wins the current and upcoming wars.

Because, they will be wars.
