Spending Looksmart Money Wisely?

 3:42 pm on Jan 15, 2004 (gmt 0)

I am using looksmart PPC at $0.30 and some of it's publisher has affiliate program which actually "encourage" affiliate to click on search result powered by looksmart.

The result is my ads get clicked a lot and I get no sales from it.

I have made several complaints to Looksmart but no feedback at all.

Anyone experience this? How do you overcome it?

The reason I want to join looksmart is because yahoo uses it's results. I suppose I want only Yahoo's click..

If you only want to use it for Yahoo, then open an Overture account - all the Y sponsored results at the top of the page are from Overture.

Where does Y show LS listings on its page?

It's not Yahoo, but MSN that has used LS. They are dropping them this month. If you aren't getting any sales from the clicks, I'd recommend stopping the ads. Actually, that's a good rule of thumb for ANY PPC activity, regardless of who they are or whom they partner with. (Assuming the problem isn't your site, of course, and that you aren't targetting the wrong keywords.)

not all yahoo results uses Looksmart. from what I can see. it is inktomi that uses looksmart result and inktomi provides results to yahoo.. It is a keyword that worth $10 on overture but $0.50 by using looksmart.
