Hi, looking for recommendations on resources on the web or books that help you write more effective ad copy, title tags, etc. Geared towards PPC woudl be best.

This is what I've got so far: motivational: learn the secrets, find out how, etc.
action words: buy, get, now, today, etc.
personalize: you, your, etc. Put it all together and you got:

Hi I recently purchased the andrew goodman guide to google adwords. I think it gives a great intro and review of the systme and I definitely did learn a lot from it. Although I was a little disappointed that it's no longer 49.95, but really $69! (he raised the price).

My understanding of this is that action words are OK, actually google recommends them in their optimization tips page. What they don't like are unsubstantiated claims such as "best" or "number one". So this is OK: Custom Hot Rod Secrets

andrew goodman guide is really pretty good. google gold also has a few copy writing tips
