Can this really be Overture
an insane policy

We have a client who recently found that their company name had been bid on in Overture by a competitor. Upon calling Overture they said, they don't have a policy against that.

gO-verture must be getting hungry again. Will be interesting to see how the dust on this one...

Last time I had to personally deal with that one, I contacted the other folks bidding on the 'brand name'. It wasn't trademarked, but the four or five people bidding did agree to drop it.

Have you tried going after the bidder's directly? I sent a nice, but firm, email - and was met with good responses across the board.
