CSS fonts settings not showing in ie5 on the Mac alpher msg:1218480 3:23 pm on Apr 29, 2003 (gmt 0) Hi,
I'm developing a site and for some reason the font shows incorrectly in ie5 on the mac. I specify verdana for the body tag in a style sheet, but the mac just uses the default font set in the web browser preferences.

I've never been on a Mac that didn't have Verdana, and I assume that they all do.
I may be wrong, but I think that the problem is that you're applying the font style to the body tag. Try styling the <p> tag and see how that works.

Martinibuster you were right. I had the text in td tags and had to specifically apply the style to these as ie on the mac doesnt seem to inherit correctly from the body tag.
