If you haven't seen 'em already or even if ya had, just a couple of gems for those interested.

The first link is a brilliant article on designing; it really gives a nice foundation for getting a handle on all of this.

If you want to get a grasp for CSS positioning and some browser workarounds the second link can't be beat either.

if you do want to view the links.......you just have to delete the WMW redirect URL when the file is not found in the address bar
