I've heard that some Search Partners on Adwords are junk sites, so I decided to check it out. Went into my logs and checked some of these sites out and sure enough they are just sites with endless crap listings. I got rid of these sites in my Adwords acct. by excluding these sites and noticed a huge increase in conversion rate and volume is still good. Anyone else have similar experience by excluding some "Search Partner" sites?
I went to Tools/Site Exclusion and put in some sites (although I am not on content network) and it took them. I will see if it works, I just turned Search Network back on....
It would be awesome if it works on Search Network. (Wish the feature was available on Yahoo as MOST of the junk ads on Google are coming from Yahoo... This reminds me of the affiliate battle -- Google is going to have to do something about it. I easily have a dozen of these junk listings appearing as valid ads -- and their content is all the same. I wrote and wrote and wrote to Google but as of now, they are giving it their blessing.
Hmmmm...strange. Is it just for the content network? Because I didn't have the content network on and when I added these 40 some odd sites my conversions went up over 30%. I get really good volume, so it can't be a fluke...didn't change anything else that would have accounted for it...go figure!
No, I'm sure you can't exclude specific search network sites. When you put these sites in, it "takes" them, but your ads still show up on those sites. I've had a few sites in the excluded list for months and I still get lots of hits from them. (I do not have content network enabled; these are search partner sites.)
