It's been almost a month since it was reported [webmasterworld.com ] on the homepage of Webmaster World that there was a confirmed technical problem with Adwords' new Position Preference tool and the Find and Edit Max CPCs Tool. In that time Adwords has neither fixed the problem nor warned users about the problem.
Dear Adwords Advisor,
I really do not mind that there was a technical problem. As a person who is heavily involved in website functionality with clients, I know how difficult it must be for you all to operate such a technically complex program as Adwords is. Technical problems are bound to happen. I know you all are human. It's okay.
I *do* mind that a month goes by and that the problem is neither reported to users nor is it fixed. Once a problem like this is identified, an organization is ethically responsible for either quickly fixing it or explaining the problem to users it might affect. A simple notice on the Edit CPCs Tool would have sufficed.
