Getting close now

When did Google send out the gifts last year?

I've already received a small booklet showing me how to optimize my campaigns, but I'm gutted if that was 'The Gift'. But at least I know I'm on their mailing list.

Anyone heard anything, or are we too early?

I think this year that there will be no material gift.

That is my guess.

OVer in the adsense forum they are claiming to have received a travel bag with various google branded items like a wireless mouse and USB drive!

I got an electronic adwords coupon for XX dollars. I would rather have something physical, but money is good too. It's the thought that counts you know :-)

I also received a coupon for one of my accounts. But the value of it was for .01% of my last year's spend on that account. Also nowhere did it say Holiday Greetings or anything like that.

Got the same today but had to shell out an equivalent of $30 as customs duty :(

AdWords People: Avoid sending this stuff to India. If you have to, don't mention the contents as 'computer accessories'.

I just got the computer kit (flash drive, flash light, hub, etc) today too. Very cool little gift. The best one yet! (although I think my dog would argue that point - he thought the scarf was a fantastic tug-of-war toy)

Thanks for the gift and, more importantly, the traffic Google!

"I spent $98,085 on adwords last year and all I got was this lousy travel kit". . . .

Actually it was pretty cool of google, THANKS!

Why do you think that macker?. After a review of your landing pages, they may have concluded that you are not giftworthy. :)

I got a Google coat, hat, and some other stuff all delivered in a Google duffle bag. I wonder how they knew my size because it fits perfect.

DynamicNiches,

Though most of the folks over on adsense got more in their packet than I did, mine came today. I am only an ADwords purchaser.

Got the hub, wireless mouse, memory stick also. An AdWords user. Question is, use the items or shelve it away and try to sell on ebaby five years from now?

Think it would be worth anything...?

I received my Google travel kit today. First time I got something from Google. Don't have much use for this stuff but was pleasently surprised.

Although I think that shipping did cost Google more than the kit.

What annoys me a little with those gifts is that in effect you pay for them yourself. I suppose about 3 hours of Adwords spending and I have paid the gift...
