not sure on the phone number thing but, why would you want to do that anyway, unless it was in a very uncompetitive sector with none or only a couple of competitors doing adwords. if they don't click - CTR= 0% (Highly unlikely to have the above as someone will click on the ad whether the phone no is there or not) max cpc x 0 = 0 so the ad would eventually drop down and down, making you raise the mac cpc to keep the position. so if you have no competition it may work, but i wouldn't do it to be honest. just my opinions there.

Yes, you can do it. Opinion varies as to why you would want to, but hey... search the forums for a list of the arguments!

Other reasons not to do it - it reduces relevence, it takes away from the few words available to present your message.
