Unacceptable Title Phrases
| 9:11 pm on Jul 12, 2002 (gmt 0)|
I received an email today that our title in AdWords need changing.
"Unacceptable Title Phrases: Your ad title cannot contain the
phrases 'welcome to,' 'online,' 'website,' or 'homepage.'"
They are in our account now editing all my Ads that say "Buy Online"
Has this happed to anyone else today, or is this old news ?
I have a feeling it is to meet AOL specs for sponsor ads.
Anyone else have a phrase that will replace "Buy Online" ? I liked using for titles "Keyword(s) - Buy Online"

It is old news. They have been cracking down for a while now.
You can use "Buy Purple Widgets" instead of "Buy Online"

Is it me, or is it getting harder to come up with a good 'click me now' factor for ads? There are so many restrictions now.

They don't give me that service.
They simply STOP the ad and tell ME to fix it.
The last one was when they asked me to remove (Trade Mark) TM from an ad.
