If you would like Google to serve ads targeted to your content pages, please email content-channel@google.com. As we expand our relationships with content providers, our content team will contact you about participating in this program. We will provide you with a short snippet of HTML that will enable us to serve targeted ads to your pages. The HTML snippet takes a few minutes to add to your site and then you're up and running.

This is getting lost in the large thread and nobody specifically has provided an answer. Does anybody know what percentage you get of click-thru revenue if google adds your site to their content network? I'd like to have a rough estimate before emailing them with sites.

Thanks

It more than likely will depend on volume. Previously, their partners had to meet a large traffic number to qualify to work with Google through syndication of Adwords.

Now that it seems just about anybody can join in the fun, it makes the most sense for them to do it on a sliding scale...at least, makes sense to me.

I'm sure that the only definitive answer on this will have to come from Google.

I think Google will be very very careful before accepting new publishers - as we are talking pay per click here. They would make sure that this type of advertising does not go the way of banner pay per click advertising of the yesteryears.

I feel the quality/reputation of publishers will be the most important criteria for selection into their network.

Hmmm, yes. I hope google does flesh out the faq though. Does PR matter, traffic, what? In my case I have sites that aren't exactly the authoritative source, but are good informational PR6 sites with pages well targeted to certain keywords. Where do you think the line will be drawn?

Then another question, does google assign kw to your pages, or do they 'trust' you to manage things. Maybe this is something just for huge PR8+ sites? I dunno. Personally I think I could do well for google/myself/surfers alike by placing adwords on my pages. I guess I'll just have to email to find out.
