I had a rather fustrating morning with google adwords.

I decided to set up my own personal adwords account. (I have several for businesses, but none of my own)

Its just a handy little account for when Im selling stuff in an auction and want to give it a little more covereage.

So I tried signing up with a new account. Adwords then tells me that an account already exists under that email. Strange, I thought, I do not remember setting one up. So I get google to send the password-change information to my email, and try logging on.

I Kept receiving 404 errors or the 'not working we told our engineers, ect'.

Finally I said 'screw this, ill just use my other email account'

So i tried signing up with my other email account.. and google said THAT one already had a google adwords account as well.

What the heck? Im sure I didnt set one up on this other email address. (its one i use for spammy sites)

So once again I try the password change action to try to log on, and once again I receive 404 errors or the 'somethign failed, our engineers have been notified..blah blah'

Am I missing something here? Could someoen out there be running some sort of 'fishing' program on adwords by dumping emaisl into it?

I've certainly never heard of this, nor seen any evidence of it at all.

In the past, in the many times in which I've handled this sort of query, there has been a 'legit' account set up under the email address, then forgotten.

I'd suggest contacting AdWords support and asking them to take a look into it. They'll be able to assist.

In your email, be specific about the email addresses in question, as well as about what you'd like to have happen moving forward.
