Does anyone else see the toolbar greyed out for all sites? I'm not getting anything.

Same here in Oregon. I hope it's gone for good, but if that was the case it would seem Google would have not added it to their new toolbar?

This is very strange. I received a PR reading on a page as recently as 5 PM Central Time (USA) today, May 27. Yet, this thread was begun a day earlier. I wonder why.

With any luck, G is about to kill it and we won't have to worry about PR anymore. Just wishful thinking really - it will probably be back soon with an update.

dont you think many people would stop using the google bar because of Pagerank? If anything i think google should keep it in their own best interest. People make a fuss over PR therefore google which is a good thing for them. I think it would lose its uniqueness. Although it has had mass abuses, eg university student newspaper sites, alot actually, in most cases reputable sites are where they belong. I thank to google that they have saved many webmasters from associating alot of scraper sites with their schemes by warning them with certain types of pagerank 0 or grey barred , as well sites that were in bad neighbourhoods, it has helped alot of people so i dont know why people want it off so much.

I sometimes wonder if the google toolbar is only downloaded by millions of webmasters - wanting to check their PR rating, and other surfers never use it. I find it pretty handy though - with Yahoo set as home I can still check out google quite conveniently.

It would be nice to see it gone, lately it's nothing more than useles. but I feel this is no more than either work in progres, or some sort of failure. Mack.

Thanks Brett for putting this up on the home page. I was just going to post a duplicate one on the missing PR. In any case, PR indicator of the toolbar gives precious little information nowadays :(
