My new site was indexed about 4 weeks ago. None of the pages have been allocated a page rank as yet.

They have links from some pages that have a PR 5.

Anyone got any ideas. Many thanks...

Hi Joe,

I launched a nwe site at the beginning of January, it's been indexed but also has no PR assigned though there are multiple PR4 and higher links back to me. From what I understand this is not typical for G timeline with PR updates. A few others saw last PR update on January 7th. Hopefully they update PR soon, I've been waiting a while as well.

PR was updated January 26. No one outside Google knows when it will be updated next and there is nothing you can do about it.

yeap im in the same boat here. I launched a new site early late jan have about 30 incomming links pr 4+ and amlmost 100 others. Have been sitting in the #1 position since first being indexed about 2 days after I submitted the site. Every page of my site is indexed and my indexed page gets its cache refreshed every second day. But still have a blank for pr. I am expecing a 4-5 but I guess only time will tell.

:)
thanks

Well, I have 29 PR4+ pages linking to me that google has picked up so far...I have many more.

And 66 pages less than PR4, and others that google hasn't picked up on as yet. I would estimate that in total I would have about 200 incomming links to my site.

It's a mixture of quality and quantity.

I launched my site late January so it's almost been live now for 2 months....If you havent had your PR done already you may be waiting a couple more weeks.

Question for those of you whose sites have recently been indexed:

Did your sites start ranking well (ie bringing in traffic) from day one of the pages being included in the index? Or did they only start getting a good ranking once the PR in the toolbar had been updated?

I'm wondering because I had a new site crawled and indexed a few days ago. A few of the pages have their PR showing, but the rest have PR 0. The site isn't ranking well at all the moment, even on uncompetitive search terms. The site has good PR backlinks, good link structure etc.

I'd really appreciate your views :)

My site has been getting good traffic from google the whole time. PR hasnt made any difference, but I have had an increase of people asking me to link to them. Also an increase in unrelated sites wanting me to link to them.
