|How to see PR without toolbar|
Google toolbar ineffective behind proxy server.

I sit behind a proxy server and can't see my PR (the PR bar is just greyed out for all sites). I'm not sure if its Squid related (as per Google help page).
Is there any way to see the PR for my page without the toolbar? And no, I'm not with ODP yet.

How about a really elegant technical solution, like going home, to a friend's house, a library, or an internet cafe? ;)
Seriously, since PR only changes once a month, if you only want to check your own site's PR a low tech approach should work fine. If you want to conduct serious PR research, though, you will have to solve the firewall problem. Can't help with that one... :(

Embert - welcome to webmaster world! if you just have a couple of URLs you want checked, send me a StickyMail (don't post them) and I will get back to you with results in the AM.
Of course, long term, you will need a more elegant solution...

The site where the e-mail in your profile is based has a PR of 2 for the home page; internal links alternate between 2 and "not ranked."

I've been using a wonderful local proxy (proxomitron) for some time - great for filtering out ads, pop-ups, Flash, sound and more - and since the Google Toolbar auto-updated itself recently, I can see no PR unless I turn off the proxy. This wasn't a problem with previous versions of the 'bar. I actually mailed Google and got a 'we'll look at that' response. Mat
