post your favourite myths and misconceptions
I've heard a few recently. These include
"you cannot outrank any page which has a higher PR than yours"
"obtaining links from sites with PR less than 4 is a complete waste of time"
"your own links page will inevitably have a very low PR because of the number of outbound links on it"
These are what I consider to be myths (please feel free to shout at me if you disagree, of course)
What are the other PR myths doing the rounds right now?
"The homepage always has the highest PR"
"For every directory in the path you loose 1 PR"
"The page is penalized if the bar is white (PR0)"
My site has a PR of "x".. what they really mean is just my homepage has a PR of.
