| Portal like Google page from home link in toolbar

On the Google toolbar I recently selected "Google homepage" from the Google logo drop down. It used to take me to a very standard Google homepage. Tonight it showen me a very different page. Link to personalise the page, Latest news, weather reports, quote of the day, word of the day. Is this something new? Mack

Added.... If you log in there is a nice toolset to the left side that "floats" out when you click on customise. Bookmarks, your content.. totaly customisable. My Stuff
