Capturing used keywords
capturing referral links from search engines

Howdy folks!

It seems that one of the most helpful tools to fine-tuning your choice of keywords would be to be able to monitor which of your targetted keywords/phrases are being used by your visitors when they visit your site.
In other words....

Which keywords did they type in to get them there!

Therefore it would presumably be really handy if there was some way of knowing this.

My questions is....is it possible in any way to capture details of what search terms were typed into the SE before the link to your site was clicked on, from the resulting list?

Hope that makes sense :)

OR...is that really asking a bit too much. (Perhaps rather like the 'holy grail' of keyword selection tools :)

Any thoughts, or is this whole idea just plain mad!

Nope..not mad at all..you need to look at your server logs. Do you have anything in your FTP directory that looks like access_log?
