I have quite a few keyword tools for checking how many searches on a particular keyword including adwords clever wizard but they sometimes give very different results. Which tool tends to give the most accurate results?

I use several keyword tools, which are all decent but not perfect. Remember a lot of search engines are bombarded with automatic ranking checkers and so all of these tools get skewed.
I like Keyword discovery and #*$!. Each have their own strengths and weaknesses, but using the two together gives pretty good coverage. I even use the Overture tool for quick brainstorming. The numbers are pretty meaningless, and they don't differentiate between singular and plural forms of a word, but it's free.
