Preferably software - if a script will do it, ok - but software would be better as it is quicker. Also it'd be great if it could pull the # of outbound links as well, that each backlink has. For example, the search term "link:http://www.site.com" has let's say 300 backlinks... It would go through and grab the anchor text of each link. Thanks!

I doubt anyone would post that kinda scripting/program for free. If it was in general circulation there would be even more spam in the search engines! Thats the kinda stuff people will keep to themselves....

I wrote the script, but am still unclear as to how to interpret the output. Is a backlink to www.example.com the same as to example.com? For example, on a popular news site I see many different names for the same page, resulting in me not recognizing them as backlinks: $ perl backlinks.pl [cnn.com...]
