Excuse my ignorance I'm still pretty new to this.
I'm reposting my site with some changes tonight. Does this mean that because of bad timing google won't reindex these new pages for a month?

Google UK is just a filtered set of results from Google.com.
You may just have timed it right. There is a Google update exepected within the next week or so.
The spider is usually out in force around then, and with luck you might appear in the following update.

If "freshbot" comes along, you could see the changes as soon as tomorrow!
Fresh listings tend to come and go, so the changes won't be permanent until after December's crawl and reindex.
