Varying meta info

Hi Everybody! Hope you had a wonderful holiday!

I'm going back and forth in a debate as to whether varying meta information will help or hurt your rankings on the SE's. Should the titles and keywords be changed on each page on the site or should you keep all of them the same if its relevent on each page?

I've done it both ways, and it seems to work out better when the meta info changes from page to page. It optimizes each for a slightly different search. Also, if you're fortunate enough to be number 1 & 2 on the SERPs then they don't look like the same page.
