Is this legal and what do search engines think of this?

Hi everyone, am still looking at different options regarding Search Engine Optimisation and have been in touch with a company who sent me this.. Is this legal, ethical, or even remotely correct?!
"We update our central system EVERY DAY to reflect the latest criteria used by all the major search engines. Our software then re-generates every single one of our customers’ sites, yours included, so that they are permanently optimised to achieve top ranking. When the user clicks on the search engines` link to your site they are forwarded straight to your MAIN WEB SITE, using unique gateway technology, undetectable by search engines."

It sounds like they're good at SO, Sales Optimization.

It is most certainly legal, but highly likely to be against T&Cs of search engines that do not favour "gateways" that are "undetectable" by said search engines .

"undetectable by search engines"
I don't think it matters what kind of redirect is used, if Google wanted they could easily detect any of them with the toolbar, in my opinion.

Stay away. Far away. What they are doing is what got a certain well known "SEO" company sued left and right for lately (come to think of it, I believe they are operating under a new name). They had the exact same strategy and all of their clients got banned from the big G. Lawsuits ensued, but damage was done.
