Let's face it, we all love using applications that simplify our various SEO tasks. There's been a mini explosion of tools since the release of the Google API in particular, and this looks set to continue. From keyword trackers and SERP checkers to link campaign management tools, there are lots of them out there. All you need is a bit of programming knowledge and some SEO savy, right? What I'd like to know is what ISN'T out there, but should be (or you wish was out there).
I'll start off with my brief wish list :
- some decent alternatives to Wordtracker
- historical keyword database (archived monthly)
- better PPC traffic estimators
- backlinks reporting for internal pages
Let's get a comprehensive list compiled. What areas need looking at? Where is the technology lagging behind? What would you like improved, automated, speeded up, made more efficient, and so on?
