Hello mann_delus, and welcome to WebmasterWorld :) No, it shouldn't make a difference. Do you have enough incoming links? For Google, you must have links. Tell us more about the site. How long has it been online? Cheers!

Thanks Susanne for your quick reply. Well i m sorry for not responding that quickly. The website is online for quite some time now. Its been almost a year. The website is www.example.la I created a doorway page for the site and submitted it to search engines. I named the doorway page that i created the same as the site i.e. example.html Is this a problem? Well i hope this is not. but when u try everything n nothing happens many things come to ur mind n u think them as problems. Also this website is database driven and many links are pointing to dynamic url's. It would be great if you can have a look at the website and let me know what more i can do to get it promoted. Thanks. [edited by: Woz at 7:54 am (utc) on April 21, 2003] [edit reason] No URLs please. [/edit]

Sorry, we cannot do specific reviews of sites here. And your post was edited because of TOS so I cannot see your site. First of all, doorway pages are a no-no in search engines. If they find out, it's very likely that they'll penalise you for it. Maybe that's why you cannot get listed. It is considered spam when you present one page to the spiders but a different one to human visitors. Maybe you should consider creating some static content as well? Engines are able to index some dynamic content but not all. And depending on your type of server, you can also re-write your URLs so that they become easier for spiders to handle. Do you have any incoming links? Search engines like sites that other sites link to. Tell us more about your site and how it is designed without being too specific. Then we'll be able to advice better. :)
