Hello, I got a website which address is some subdomain of a provider. Alexa.com crawls my site regularly. But is there any benefit for me? Since alexa.com doesn't separate subdomains from its top-level domain. So if you search for subdomain.topleveldomain.com, alexa.com shows only the statistics/reviews of www.topleveldomain.com. Am I right that there is no benefit for me then? and may I just go ahead and block the alexa.com crawler to save some traffic?
You don't need to allow Alexa to index any portion of your site to "benefit" from Alexa statistics/reviews of your domain. The spider has nothing to do with this. Yes, even WebmasterWorld blocks the Alexa spider.
