Anyone using Thunderbird?
Advantages over Mozilla mail?

 11:58 pm on Aug 24, 2004 (gmt 0)

I use Mozilla for my email client, and have always liked the ability to deal with email and web browsing in a single application. But then I haven't spent much time using dedicated clients since the old days of Pine mail. Is anyone using Thunderbird? It's only on 0.7.3, so that makes me a little leery that it might wind up eating all my messages.

I took a look at it, but decided to stick with Mail. Sorry I can not give you more feed back than that.

It may be only 0.7.3, but it's based on Mozilla's mail client which is based on Netscape's mail client which was first released in 199x ... well, many moons ago.

I'm using it to access Usenet (I read all my mail on Windows), and I find it the best newsclient for OS X that I know off.

It's been my main email client for the last 12 months
