Hey guys and dolls,

This one completely baffled me. A friend of mine has an old black G3 laptop. When the machine is stared under OS X, it will not recognize that there is a floppy disk inserted. It will however see the disk under OS 9. Does anyone have any ideas?

Basically, Apple has a funny way of saying it is not supported in OS X, but here is their article:

I had the same "problem" with a beige G3.

added: There is a driver you could try if you were brave, but, of course, it is unsupported by Apple and is quite old:

LOL, the instructions listed is what I had her do. I was just hoping that was not the permenant remedy outside of trashing OS X or telling her it is time for a new machine.

thanks bodine
