How do I center a flash object in a layout cell while in layout mode in dreamweaver mx? I tried the align settings, but they all were a no go.

There are two methods: 1. You have to temporarily jump out of layout mode to access the alignment drop down menu. Just select the td, then jump out ( the td will still be selected). 2. Hand code it.

Cancel that. All I had to do was click next to it and the left, center, right, and full justification buttons appeared in the property inspector, while still in layout mode.

Doh, that's right. Your question mixed me up regarding the standard and layout modes.
