Hi all. I posted in here about two months back and since then have been SUPER busy constructing my new site and optimising it using Brett's rules. However, I have Absolutely NO idea if and when Google has/is freshbotting my site? On March 5, I had a great, related site link back to my main site page. My question is: Is it likely that I've been freshbotted...and if so, when will my site likely be indexed at Google? I'm worried that I missed the boat and won't show up until May. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! By the way, I love this board!
Ok, I've done a little bit of research on webmasterworld and through my web logs. This is the info that I have come up with. Unfortunately I do not have specific dates to tell you!
It appears that this bot visited my page sometime in the last month or so: 188.8.131.52 >>This is Google's Freshbot right?
As well, my site was visited by these bots: 184.108.40.206 220.127.116.11 18.104.22.168 22.214.171.124 126.96.36.199 188.8.131.52 184.108.40.206 220.127.116.11 18.104.22.168 22.214.171.124 126.96.36.199 188.8.131.52 184.108.40.206 220.127.116.11 18.104.22.168 22.214.171.124 >>Are these Google's deepbots?
My question is this: If my site is BRAND new, I can understand why I would get Google's freshbot visiting, but why so many visits by the deepbot? Is this good? As well, what does this mean for me in terms of when I can expect my site to be indexed? Thank-you in advance for all of your replies!
Thanks Paul! It answered many of my questions. But I also see by the thread you put up that many questions just cannot be answered and that only Google knows what's going on sometimes! So, I assume by what I've read that because I have been freshbotted and deepcrawled that I MIGHT be indexed in April's update? Cool :)
