Problems with view-source: on 302 redirect Not the same old problems though Kenton msg:963168 10:57 pm on May 3, 2005 (gmt 0) Hi
I am trying to view the source of a 302 redirect to my site.
I have tried view-source:http://www...... but I just get "The page you are looking for is currently unavailable"
This is on IE6 and also on IE5 & Safari on the Mac.
On the PC I can View >> Source from the menu and I've cleared out caches and checked the registry.
What am I doing wrong?

There's no "source" to a 302 redirect. It's a command issued by the server to the browser in HTTP headers. After the browser receives that command, it does the redirect and stops listening for further content. Kenton msg:963170 12:00 am on May 4, 2005 (gmt 0)
Duh! Of course ... wadda dope.
Still can't get the view-source: in the address bar to work for regular URLs though.
Why would it work in the menu but not in the address bar? - on all 3 browsers over 2 machines (PC & Mac)?
