Copy & paste hyperlink in FrontPage 2002
Inserting hyperlink using FrontPage 2002

This probably falls into the dumb question category, but here goes.

I am using FrontPage 2002, and I cannot copy and paste a hyperlink.

Working from the Normal page view I go to the top toolbar, click insert, click hyperlink, and a box pops up.

There is a place to type in a hyperlink, and this works just fine.

However, when I try to copy and paste a hyperlink it will not accept.

Any ideas how to fix this or work around. I am mainly inserting affiliate hyperlinks which can get rather long, so the opportunity for error is there when typing manually.

Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld gabby.

Can you paste URLs into the HTML view? If you've got extremely long strings there might be an issue with the WYSIWYG portion of FP in Normal view...although I haven't run into this problem myself.

If you're trying to paste the hyperlink by right-clicking with your mouse and selecting "Paste" from a context menu, then no it won't work that way. Use CTRL-V instead to paste your link into the box.
