|Dreamweaver MX Unstable in Mac OS X?|
Why is it crashing so often?

Anyone else having problems with stability in Dreamweaver MX running under Mac OS X?
I've just installed OS X, followed by a new copy of DWMX to replace my old DW4. I love the new features, but am frustrated by its instability and frequent crashes.
Though I'm still experimenting, it appears that maybe DWMX doesn't co-exist with the Classic layer very well.
Anyone else have any tips, fixes, observations?

Update... I worked a whole day with the Classic layer turned off. Not a single crash until the end of the day when suddenly DWMX decided to get flaky again.

I'm using DWMX for several months now on 10.2, and never had a problem. It is at times slow, and it has some bugs, but seems stable to me. What I don't like is that when I switch from DW to IE, and want to go back, I have to click the icon in the dock, or have to click a DW-window, the IE again, and then DW again to bring the DW-window to the front. That's annoying.

If it makes you feel any better DWMX crashes quite a bit on Win 2000 as well...
The only advice I have is to try it without CF server and other add-ons (if you have any), as this sometimes helps stabilise it.

I reinstalled and things smoothed out for now. If I need to do it again, I'll try a custom install and leave out the stuff I know I'm not likely to use... thanks!

I've been using MX in OSX, and while I've had some problems with MX, crashing isn't one of them.
some other complaints if your curious
? detailed tags in site files view stay on screen even when another application is brought to the front. I have to go back to DW and roll over it again to make them go away.
? ftp reacts very slowly (much, much snappier in 9)
? sites previously created with DW4 templates break when the template is edited in MX. I would love to find a solution to this problem. I thought I had it at one time, but I'm still having this issue.
