Does anybody know how to use dreamweaver to upload files to your server such that they are always uploaded in say 777 mode? I run scripts on the server that need write permission, however everytime I synchronize from home, the permissions are reset and the script cannot run...

same thing, but when you upload, does dreamweaver set a default attribute? I upload to an apache server on Unix and the permissions are always wrong, I have to reset them manually using ws_ftp or something...

So it changes your server configuration or just dreamweaver settings?

interesting, I work on a XP machine and upload to unix, perhaps having the write group attributes in the file under XP will make it upload properly, dreamweaver ftp has NO options, it's just ftp upload..

this is how you chmod in dreamweaver
go to window/results/ftplog and type in the command bar

site chmod 755 /path/to/your/file
