_fpclass folder location
newbie here: trying an applet for 1st time: HELP!

 3:37 am on Jan 19, 2003 (gmt 0)

ok here's the deal...all i want are some simple hover buttons with mouseover sounds...i know i have to have the _fpclass folder in a subdirectory...but im not sure if i have it in the right place...my site files break down like this desktop/site files/html files, images folder, _fpclass folder....

is that where it belongs?

do i absolutely HAVE to host (upload) my site in order to view the results of using the hover button applet?

(im not sure if i'm making myself clear but if you can, PLEASE, help a lady out :()

Hi nostopndont, welcome to WebmasterWorld.

for your java classes to work properly they need to be accessed through a Web Server. Are you running a Web Server such as Personal Web Server (PWS) or Internet Information Server (IIS)/ If not then you need to install one of these and then acces your pages through that which should fix your problem.
