Pasting to multiple files at same time
Ctrl C, Ctrl V x 20

I'm looking to paste some information from the clipboard to many different folders at the same time. Is there a program that will do this? For examle I need to paste information about widgetA to 20 different folders at predeisgnated spots/pages in the different folders. Then widgetB etc. I'd like to not have to do this one at a time if possible.

Not that I know of. You could use one of the search and replace routines like "bk replacem". Just search for something common in all the files. I think there is a "append" feature.

Or were you talking creating the file from scratch too?

What I do is use something like EditPlus or UltraEdit to open all the files I want. Put them in a "project" so that I can load them all at one click. Then a quick keyboard macro to put the text at the bottom of each file. I do that all the time here to update common code across 75scripts.

Thanks Brett. I was afraid of that, but the ultra edit route sounds almost as quick and easy.
