msg:934266 | 6:14 pm on May 28, 2006 (gmt 0) | Hi there, Is there any way you can set up your own custom buttons for small snippets of script in Dreamweaver. I'm currently using WebWeaver 98 and you can set up your own custom buttons on the toolbar, this enables me to add the date, URL's or small bits of code with just one click. I want to do the same in Dreamweaver, but find I have to do 2 or more clicks - it's amazing how much this can slow you down. Many thanks,

msg:934267 | 7:58 pm on May 28, 2006 (gmt 0) | It's definitely possible, as various extension builders do this to make it easy to use their extensions. I would suggest looking under the Help menu at the Dreamweaver API Reference.

msg:934269 | 11:58 am on Jun 1, 2006 (gmt 0) | There is a snippets folders where you can save regularly used bits of code - Place you cursor in the area you need the code - double click your snippet - voila! + In DW8 I think you can assign keyboard shortcuts to them e.g. ctrl + shift + s + 1 = doctype ctrl + shift + s + 2 = meta ctrl + shift + s + 3 = javascripts etc, etc ...
