I've used FP for a number of years, and still do. But I've recently noticed an annoying problem. And, so far, no one can tell me what the deal is. Lots of folks have pointed out obvious things that are not the actual problem or solution.
The real problem is that Arial in FP2003 is not always Arial. There are 2 and sometimes 3 other Arials (aside from the actual fonts installed in the fonts folder).
The other fonts showing in FP are:
The so-called "serif" version is the problem for me. It defaults as arial, at least in my situation.
I've worked up a work-around, thanks in part to an old post on this site. And you can see both the problem (a screen shot) and my temporary fix here:
But the real question still remains: what is this deal with arial about, and how can I rid my FP fonts listing of the false arials?
Anyone have answers?
