As you occasionally do while adding a link to a website using FrontPage 2003 you test it by holding down Ctrl and clicking the hyperlink.

Well I did all that and arrived at a log in box for that site as if I was the publisher - username and password were blank. So on the login box I clicked Cancel and was taken to an opening page for the site where there was a 'launch site' hyperlink which wouldn't work using the method mentioned in the first sentence. Funny thing, I put the cursor on that 'launch page' and was able to edit it. Naturally I got out without attempting to save the edit.

I'm going to inform the webmaster but can anyone tell me why such a thing could happen.

Oops! Seems this is normal and the username and password are naturally required when saving the edit. Yep I'm self taught and about to collect my aged pension - I shouldn't be let out lol ;-)
